Nine-owned newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age have appointed two journalists to document Indigenous life in Australia. The positions are supported by a grant from the Institute.
Indigenous Affairs reporter and Kamilaroi woman Ella Archibald-Binge joins the Herald after holding various reporting roles at NITV. Rhett Wyman, a Palawa man, joins the team after working as a commercial and arts photographer.
“Their project will celebrate the living culture at the heart of our nation and take a deeper look at the issues affecting Australia’s First Nations,” said Lisa Davies, editor of the Herald.
