A new Emergency Broadcasting e-learning resource has been launched by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The course has been developed with the support of the Judith Neilson Institute.

The CBAA’s new online learning platform, CBAA Learning, launched this week. It will provide guidance, information, videos and downloadable templates for station managers, volunteers and broadcasters at community radio stations.

The first five-module course on Emergency Broadcasting will provide guidance, including how to:

  • Put together emergency broadcasting plans
  • Craft and time messages important messages
  • Develop coping strategies for personnel involved in emergency broadcasting

The first free module, Emergency Broadcasting #1 — Are you prepared? is available now.

New modules will be released each Tuesday over the next four weeks and new resources will be uploaded to the CBAA Learning platform regularly.
