The Australian Financial Review, with the support of the Judith Neilson Institute, has reopened its Indonesia bureau.
From the bureau in Jakarta, south-east Asia correspondent Emma Connors reports on political, economic, business and trade issues in Indonesia, as well as important stories from across region.
Since arriving in Jakarta, in October 2019, Connors has reported on Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s visit to the city, free trade talks, the inauguration of Indonesian president Joko Widodo, the impact of public unrest on democracies and governments around the world, and the coronavirus pandemic.
The Institute’s funding also supports Connors to travel to cover countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar.
