South Australian arts journalism gets a major boost

In partnership with Solstice Media

Solstice Media is launching a new project dedicated to reviews, news and commentary on South Australia’s arts and culture. InReview, a sub-site of InDaily, will publish professional, rigorous and credible arts journalism and cultural commentary each weekday. It is due to launch in time for the 2020–21 festival season. The project is funded in part by the Judith Neilson Institute.

InReview will cover theatre, music, books and poetry, visual art, dance, design and architecture, popular culture, film and television, and more. It will draw on a pool of experienced local contributors and give opportunities to new voices.

A digital magazine will be sent free to subscribers each Wednesday, beginning February 16, 2021. It will contain a mix of reviews, commentary, news and features on the broadest sweep of arts and culture in South Australia.

Solstice Media editorial director David Washington said: “South Australia needs more arts and cultural journalism — properly funded and resourced — and InReview will do just this.”

InReview will be a community and philanthropy-funded project to support professional, rigorous and broad arts and cultural journalism and commentary,” he said.

Solstice Media is the publisher of InDaily, SALIFE and CityMag.
